December Trip, Part One: Flight to Fort Lauderdale
I know it’s already March, but I’ve been really wanting to post these pictures for a while, and I FINALLY figured out how to do it! Yay! From December 23rd to December 28th, my dad, my brother and myself went to Florida. But not just ANY Florida: KEY WEST and MIAMI!!! To be honest, when I think of Florida, I think of Jeb Bush, Horatio Caine and a bunch of tacky crap with the American flag on it, which is why Key West and Miami shouldn’t really be considered to be part of Florida. Although Horatio Caine is supposed to live in Miami, so I suppose that doesn’t make perfect sense. NEVERTHELESS…
Frank calmly sits in his seat, ignoring the fact that the little boy in the next aisle is flagrantly ignoring the seat belt warning sign and reading what is clearly a dumb book.
Obligatory window shot, loved by amateur photographers everywhere.
For whatever reason, my Dad was really insistent on seeing the beach in Fort Lauderdale. The fact that it was pouring was absolutely no deterrent, and I think in some way, my dad actually preferred to see it this way. He’s dark like that. That rainstorm was no joke though. If I had been driving, I probably would have just pulled over and prayed (or listened to the radio. That’s more likely.), and in fact, some people did – where ever they happened to be. The on-ramp to a major highway? Sure! Floridians have no respect for the road, which is probably why nature has no respect for them (obviously).
I was not kidding about the rain.
